Hazardous Substances


For more than 20 years the Dr. Fechter group has been working in the finding, detection, and valuation of hazardous substances in the building construction industry. NovaBiotec Dr. Fechter GmbH is the only company within this group that has been focusing on these tasks for more than 15 years.


Our service portfolio ranges from the planning and conception to the safety support and control of redevelopment measures. Amongst others, this covers e.g. site management, security coordination according to Building Site Construction Regulation as well as waste management according to the Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act.


Due to on-site investigation and building inspections by our qualified and trained staff NovaBiotec identifies sources of pollution, assesses hazard potentials and creates restructuring concepts. With our comprehensive equipment we analyze e.g. the following substances:

-          Asbestos

-          Artificial Mineral Fibers (AMF)

-          Polycyclical Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH)

-          Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)

-          Wood Protection Agents


Besides our long-term experience, our staff has all necessary qualifications in order to guarantee a qualified support in all fields. For example, NovaBiotec is certified as


“Technical sanitation planner for hazardous substances in the field of building pollutants” by the General Association of Pollutant Cleanup

-          Knowledge according to IfSG 44ff

-          Health and Safety Coordinator according to the German                          Construction Site Ordinance

-          Qualified sampler according to PN 98
